Carol has spent many years researching Hanoverian bloodlines, and in 2004 she attended
the International Breeders Course run by the Hanoverian Verband, and the State Auction;
both in Verden, Germany. This invaluable experience has added a further dimension
within the breeding program of Parkridge Warmbloods; with the results being very
evident within each new crop of offspring.
Carol’s breeding program (and the Parkridge philosophy) is always aimed at enhancing
the genetic base of the Parkridge Stud. This can create real conflict for the breeder
when balancing short term commercial reality with the longer term vision of the
Stud, particularly retaining outstanding fillies for the future breeding program.
Carol has managed this balance very well, and Parkridge Stud is now breeding second
generation progeny from the German bloodlines.
Parkridge Warmbloods still favours the older style of Hanoverian stallions that
are available from Germany (in particular the State Celle in Verden).

For Parkridge Warmbloods the single most important factor with all of these stallions
is their rideability and temperament scores. A beautiful horse has no value if it
cannot be ridden!
